About Earth Day & Earth Day Dialogues
Earth Day is a global moment to reflect on our shared responsibility to care for the planet we call home. This year's theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” highlights the role that communities, educators, families, and young people play in protecting our world through everyday actions.
Through Earth Day Dialogues from April 20-24, 2026, young people will connect across borders to discuss climate change in their communities and share the actions they are taking, from raising awareness to creating solutions locally.
Educators can explore our climate change learning resources and book their learners into a live international video conference during Earth Day week.
Why this matters
Climate change is affecting communities around the world in different ways. By sharing experiences and actions, young people can learn from one another and explore how local efforts contribute to global change.

Youth Voices from Around the World
‘One new thing I learned was how climate change affects different communities in different ways. A participant from another country shared how rising sea levels are threatening their coastline, while someone else mentioned extreme heat in their area. It made me realize that although climate change is a global issue, the impact can be very personal and local. Now I understand that small actions, like reducing waste or raising awareness in my school can make a difference too. It inspired me to take more responsibility and be part of the solution.'
- Past participant from Indonesia
‘It was one of the best video conferences I've ever participated in. I learned about the value of earth and universe according to my peers faith, culture, community and vision . I asked about the experience of my peers from the climate change and almost all of them answered my question which was really sad because of the problems that are made by climate change around the world. In addition, the innovative actions that my peers and their communities have taken to stop climate crisis are all very inspiring. Overall, it was a great conference where I could use all 5 cores skills of dialogue which boosted my knowledge and made me engage with the dialogue and interact with my peers from several countries.'
